Elder Peer to Peer Mediations

VCDS Elder Peer Mediation Program will provide mediation services, pairing experienced VCDS mediators and elder peer mediators who will conduct a co-mediation model of service.

Disputes can include but not limited to matters that are:

·  Legal
·  Medical
·  Financial
·  Care Giving
·  Decision making or
·  Housing related

Mrs. Patricia Radcliffe, VCDS Mediator
VCDS will conduct individual interviews of each participant before mediation is conducted. The intake, case development process, and process design may include extensive use of the elder peer mediators. Prior to elder mediation all cases will be assessed, reviewed, and processed.

CCS Mediators
VCDS has partnered with the Congress of California Seniors for this unique mediation service. Through the leadership of none other than the organizations president, Mr. Henry "Hank" Lacayo, the senior advocacy group selected its own members to receive extensive mediator training. The model for the peer to peer mediation service was initiated in an effort to establish rapport and foster collaboration, by co-creating the process with the participants.
